Burglary Story : Me and my neighbor.

It had been raining heavily which I guess is the reason that there was no one around in their backyards or anywhere. Both me and my neighbor got robbed. We both have the same back windows and this is how they got in just by using a jemmy or something to pull open the windows. The lousy catches just broke.

They would not find no fancy jewelry around here but they stole most anything any good. My sons game consul and watch, he should have been wearing that. A radio but not the TV – praise the lord – a juicer! And some other stuff.

They stole pretty much the same from my neighbor and even helped themselves to her food!! It was my son who discovered the burglary when he got home from school, he ran to the store where his father works who called me and I called the police. When the police arrived they found my neighbors place had got robbed too. I am glad that they were not still there when my son got home.

Neighbors Helped.

Hey Jack, please, not all neighbors are like you describe (I’m sorry if yours are.) Two of mine were alerted by noise that someone was breaking into my home. Not only did they stop him from getting inside, they called the police and put themselves at risk by trailing him when he ran off.

Yes he was caught. I wish they hadn’t put themselves at risk, I would have been happy if they just called the cops. But I am very grateful to them indeed. There are good people about Jack.

Neighbors will not help.

It dont make a difference that it was raining, even if all your neighbors were out back wit a BBQ they would not have called the cops. See nothing, hear nothing, and DO nothing!

Nobody is interested in anything but themselves! If they see someone drive a truck up to your home and empty it they tell themselves that it is none of there business. Then they cry when it happens to them.

Good window locks.

Hi Jaida,

Thank you for sharing your story with us, I was sorry to read of your burglary.

I hope that you have had those flimsy catches replaced with good window locks. You know that after a burglary there is quite a chance that the burglar will come back for more.

Yes it is a good thing the your son did not arrive home while the burglars were still there.
