The safe uses a digital combination locking system, of three to eight numbers, plus the use of a key. Yes, that's right a key. The digital keypad locks/unlocks and the key operates the bolts. Is this an awkward system? Perhaps you may find it a little less convenient than a safe with just a keypad, but it does mean that a thief would need to know your combination and be in possession of the key. What happens if you forget your combination or the keypad batteries die on you? Should you get locked out of your Honeywell anti-theft safe there is an override key. That's right, another key.
